a coil spring compressor isnt something you need very often so i'd suggest just renting one at any of your local autoparts stores, checkers, autozone, pep boys, napa, heck, even a hardware store might have it.
Use 2 jacks: a floorjack or jackstands or blocks to hold up the frame/body of the car and another jack to jack up the suspension and slowly let down the control arm when you have disconnected the necessary equipment.
