You Have to take it off, How do you know it bad ?? Remove strut take it some where to replace the spring is put together at the factory, good luck

do yourself a big favor dont play with the stuts if you dont have the tools,the books or the knowldge. They are compressed springs and can case serious injury or worse if you dont know how to take them apart. please take it a shop for a strut repair.
