How do you change coil springs on cars with shocks, that don't have a strut in the middle of the spring?

Do you use the same spring compressor that you would use on cars with struts? Also, can you please explain the process? Thankss! :D

This procedure can be very dangerous if proper knowledge and tools are not available.

I suggest that you obtain a reputable shop manual for the vehicle in question and carefully study the section dealing with this operation.

Indeed, the manual will warn you of the risks involved with replacing coil springs.

This information should then guide you in determining whether you want to undertake this task

I am not trying to scare you from doing this, merely informing you of the potential for severe injury.
