I have a 95 impala ss and I need to lift it about an inch, but I want to keep the smooth ride. Can I just change the springs or will I need to change the struts too.

I don't think it will change the ride height. Besides, you're going the wrong way. Pick-up trucks go up, sports cars go down. The higher you go with it, the worse it will handle. I hope you're not putting some big ugly rims on that car, you're gonna ruin it.
