changed my boot struts and now the boot seems to be out of line, leaning to the left and leaving a bit of gap, tried to push it back but it wont go back in line, can someone please help..

It sounds like the new struts are either of the wrong or uneven length. Wrong or uneven Gas pressure, Something is twisting the tail gate.
Additional Info :- was it out of alighnment before or not ? The only other thing is look at the tailgate hinges and see if they can be adjusted to get the tail gate lined up again.
