You need one of those long metal bars too for leverage. On the rear axle after you unbolt the struts from the axle you need to separate the two but even if it%26#039;s not corroded down there you need to insert a long metal pole between the bottom of the car and the axle just like so and press on it to pop the axle off the bottom of the struts in the rear. I watched how the repair shop did mine. It%26#039;s takes a few tries for it to work. It%26#039;s very hard to do, I would recommend just having a tire shop do it.|||Two I can think of are a impact wrench and a torque wrench.|||no you sure dont, ive done it a few times with a spring compressor and my tool box no special tools needed and no big hydraulic lift, just jack it up and im sure you know the rest. its very easy not as hard as most people think. good luck
p.s. you dont need an impact wrench, or a special wrench. you may need a rubber mallet to help get the control arms bolts out.|||No but be careful removing the springs they are very dangerous at the point of removal. Ensure the spring compressors are in good working order and you always face the springs away from you in case they let go. They can cause serious injury or death if they hit you.
