Can I change the strut on a 1999 mustang without a spring compressor?
The manual I have has the car jacked up(jack stand too), tire off, and another jack under lower control arm. It seems this keeps spring slightly compressed while you remove and replace strut.|||I do not think so for safety sake. Check the auto-zone web site under repairs for a description on how to remove. also I think you can borrow a spring compressor from auto zone, no need to buy|||For the sake of you health....use a compressor. You can buy them from Autozone or Napa and are not that costly.|||dial 1 800 new teeth get loane for free most auto parts store...or 20 dollar loaner
