Is it hard to change strut mounts on 02 chevy malibu?

do i need a spring compressor to change mounts|||You can probably remove the strut assembly from the car, (remove the 3 nuts on the top of the strut mount, NOT the one in the center!!) but don%26#039;t mess with the springs yourself. It is extremely dangerous and best taken to a pro with the proper equipment.|||no. unbolt the top and loosen bottom of the strut and you will have enough clearance to switch them out. i would recomend an alignment when you are finished.|||yes,,and it can be a dangerous job,,i own a repair shop,,and almost had one of those take my head off,,because of a faulty tool,,your better off having it done,by a professional,,i did invest in the more expensive tool now I%26#039;m safe doing it,,but i have a hole in my ceiling to remind me of what could have happened,,I%26#039;m going to leave it there,,to show customers who think that it is an east job,,and as a reminder to me of how close i came to being hurt really bad,,i hope you take it some where and get it done,,maybe this will help you.,,,if its just the top mounts you can replace them,but always take caution when working on a front end.
